“Put yourself in other people’s shoes” – this is how I work, this is how I live as well.
What I see as the most valuable in UX design, as well as in relationships between people, is the ability look beneath the surface. Functional needs are often dictated by a state of mind, emotion, social factors, etc. Asking the right “what if”-s or looking for way to overcome a mistake or constraint is the way towards finding answers. This is me as a colleague and as a friend.
Living abroad has straighten my abilities in managing multiple tasks/people, independence and working in a team. My international background adds to those with openness towards people and readiness to learn. My critical thinking is another skill, formed throughout the years of educations in different countries, meeting different cultures, viewpoints and standards.
Outside of the office, I always have a couple of interests and activities going on. They revolve around arts, nature or volunteerism. I’m also an oil artist and participate in an art union called “Åbne Døre”. You can see some of my artworks at: art.mellmineva.com
I love spending time in my atelier, I also make nature inspired jewelry, work with leather and enjoy insanely long walks in the nature or in the urban landscape.
